Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
2 Timothy 2:13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
INTERPRETATION:
Jesus always showed his confidence towards his Father at all moments of his life. Yet at the last hour when he hung on the cross battling the forces outside and within ,he cried to the Father in agony. This verse is exactly what it looks and it implies. Jesus was in self-doubt. Yet the relationship with the Father was in no way broken. Jesus was restored, Jesus did arise. If this can happen to Jesus then we mere men who are not even points closer to Jesus, even the best of us would someday come to self-doubt battling the forces outside and within, Yet even in those moments our relationship with the Father is in no way broken. At these moments we should look towards heaven and pour out our hearts before the Lord. God will answer us in the goodness of his mercy and restore us.
